FAQ

      🚚 Delivery Zones (UK Only)

We currently offer hand-delivered installation across mainland UK, divided into six delivery zones based on distance from our base in Essex (SS8).

  • Zone 1 – £99: Local delivery (within ~50 miles)

  • Zone 2 – £149: Southeast & London

  • Zone 3 – £199: Midlands & South Coast

  • Zone 4 – £249: Northern England & parts of Wales

  • Zone 5 – £299: Northernmost England & Southern Scotland

  • Zone 6 – £349: Glasgow area

  • 👉 If you're beyond Glasgow or over 350 miles from SS8, just get in touch — we may still be able to help, but it will require a custom quote.

This rig isn’t shipped in boxes. It’s hand-delivered and installed by us — fully built, calibrated, and tested to ensure it runs perfectly from day one.

  • Q: How much space do I need?
A: You’ll need a clear footprint of around 5ft x 3ft with additional room behind and around for motion clearance. We can help advise based on your space — the rig is solid and compact enough for most spare rooms or garages.

  • Q: Is it noisy?
A: It makes some sound — mostly mechanical motion. It’s probably quieter than you think, but you’ll definitely hear it when it’s active. It’s quieter than many racing rigs or wind simulators.

  • Q: Can I move it once it’s installed?
A: Not easily — and that’s by design. It’s built solid, with zero flex or wobble. While it can be disassembled, it’s not meant to be casually moved around.

  • Q: Will I need to set anything up myself?
A: No. The rig is fully assembled, tested and configured in our workshop. It's then partly disassembled for transport. When we deliver, we reassemble and connect everything. You may need to plug in a few cables, install your peripherals and follow a simple software setup, but all the hard work is done by us.

  • Q: Is it plug-and-play?
A: Not fully — and that’s a good thing. The rig hardware is tested and assembled before delivery, but we provide guidance on the software setup to get you running if needed. If you’ve used SimHub before, you’ll feel right at home.

  • Q: Is it compatible with VR?
A: Absolutely. The rig is designed with VR in mind — plenty of space, clean cable management.
You’ll feel every move, not just see it.

  • Q: Can I customise anything?
A: Within reason — yes. We can discuss mounting hardware, lighting, and cosmetic details.
If you’ve got a specific vision, we’ll work with you to make it happen.

  • Q: Will the rig work with my home’s electrics?
A: In most cases, yes. However, because this system uses high-performance actuators, there’s a small chance it may trip an RCD (Residual Current Device) — especially in homes with older or more sensitive circuits. This isn’t a fault with the rig, just something to be aware of. In rare cases, a qualified electrician may need to assess your setup.

  • Q: Why would the rig trip my RCD?
A: It’s not due to overload — the system isn’t drawing too much power. It’s caused by something called earth leakage, which can happen when high-performance electronics (like actuators or power supplies) create brief, harmless imbalances in electrical flow. Most homes are fine, but sensitive or older circuits can sometimes trip as a safety precaution when multiple devices start up together.

  • Q: It's a lot of money - what exactly am I getting?
A: Absolutely – we won’t pretend otherwise. It is a lot of money.
However, you're investing in a fully-engineered, professionally built 6DOF rig tuned for realism, comfort, and long-term durability. Every component has been hand-picked for performance – from the GT Omega Prime cockpit with Chase V2 seat, to the custom eRacing Labs actuator system, premium 40-series aluminium profile, and solid high-quality fittings. The six servos and Thanos control board are neatly housed in a dedicated, enclosed cabinet.
Your rig is assembled, tested, hand-delivered, and professionally installed by our team. We don’t ship boxes and hope for the best – we arrive, build, calibrate, and make sure it’s running perfectly in your space before we leave.
These rigs are rock-solid and incredibly powerful: 150mm of travel, fast response times, and built to last. Thanks to the modular 40-profile frame, your setup can be easily expanded over time.
In short: you're not buying a toy. You’re commissioning a precision machine – purpose-built to deliver the most immersive flight or racing simulation experience possible outside of a real cockpit.

  • Q: How long will the install take?
A:  Install times can vary depending on a few factors – including accessibility, available space, and any custom requirements for your setup.
On average, you should allow 3 to 6 hours for a full installation. This includes not just assembly, but calibration, system testing, and a final walkthrough to make sure everything’s working as it should.
We take the time to do it properly – no shortcuts, no rushed jobs. These rigs are serious machines, and we want to ensure they’re performing at their best from day one.

  • Q: I have another question or a problem?
A: Please drop an email to info@caelira.com and we'll be happy to help!
